McCloud Aquatics is seeking a safe, proactive, detail oriented, self-motivated individual that has the skills to operate and maintain standard small to medium sized gas/diesel earth moving equipment, such as excavators, skid steers, trenchers, tillers, backhoes, forklifts, etc.
Industry specific equipment would include a Truxor T30 and our Weedoo work boat.
McCloud Aquatics is looking for an individual to help our Earth division with performing Vegetation removal, Dredging, Mechanical Harvesting, Shoreline repairs, Pier/Dock installs, Boat Ramps and additional aquatic work as needed.
Responsibilities:
Maintains company equipment within company standards and/or as directed.
Performs basic preventative maintenance task, such as but not limited to checking oil, tires, and fluids.
Identifies faults in equipment and conducts basic repairs when necessary.
Adheres to all company work policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Documents information of equipment purchases/rentals, repairs and maintenance for record keeping.
Inspects working environment before work begins to ensure that it is safe and leaves jobsite in a clean state upon completion.
Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Takes advantage of opportunities to sell additional company products and services to existing clients.
Establishes good working relationships with customers while on the jobsite by introducing self and company and addressing any questions or concerns.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a valid driver's license.
A CDL is preferred but not required.
Previous heavy equipment operation preferred but not required.
Physical requirements would include kneeling, crawling, jumping, and lifting (50lbs or greater), amongst others.
Ability to work outdoors in most environmental conditions.
Be able to read and understand operational manuals.
Ability to work over 40
hours a week.
Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
Ability to work extended hours and weekends, as needed.
Have good knowledge of traffic laws as related to heavy equipment.
Have good knowledge of safety rules in operating equipment.
Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Have good knowledge of equipment mechanism and working methods.
Assignments as needed.
