Up for sale is a Pioneer CT-F 1000 cassette deck. I have owned this deck since it was purchased by me some time in the late 70's (approximately 1978). I have not used it or some of my other gear in at least 10 years so I am letting it go. The deck does power up as pictured. However, while the unit was working when I had it last set up, it does not work now. I have not taken it in for service but did call a service facility who told me that "they can almost guarantee it needs new belts". I never did have them changed before. As you can see from the pictures the exterior of the deck is in extremely good shape. There are no dents or scratches. Front, back sides and bottom are very clean. Obviously I would recommend getting this serviced unless you are the type who knows how to fix these things. The tech gave me a "ballpark" figure of $200 to give this a "going over" including some new rollers it would probably need? Given that some working decks that have been serviced have recently sold in the $1,500+ range, getting a nice looking one owner unit under $500 seems to be a good deal. Deck will be carefully packaged and shipped in the Continental US only for $65. I expect the shipping to cost me more than that. If for some reason it should cost less I will refund the difference. Any questions, please ask. I tried to take thorough pictures of the entire unit including the heads. As you can see, I also have the original owner's manual. Check my feedback and buy with confidence. My list price is definitely on the low end of what these units have sold, especially in the excellent cosmetic shape it is in so I am not taking offers. I am offering no warranty on this unit, other than that it will arrive in the condition pictured in the listing.
